Pier 62 Skatepark - Opening May 17th (2010)

It was confirmed yesterday (by Hudson River Park Trust & Open Road) that the opening ceremony for Pier 62 skatepark will be held Monday, May 17th 2010 at 10:00 AM. The park will open to the public immediately following the conclusion of the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

The park was designed by SITE Design Group, is 15,000 sq. ft, has lights, is free and requires safety gear. That's all we could find for now but make sure to follow the Official New York or Skaters for Public Skateparks forums for more info.
